Overview
Gift Experiences is two products sharing one backend: a customer site for browsing and gifting experiences, and a vendor portal where businesses apply, list experiences and track revenue. Bookings, payments, chat and gift credits are all handled in-house.
What I built
- 01Customer site (giftexperiences.ca) and vendor portal (giftexperiences.store) on a shared Firebase backend.
- 02Booking flow with Stripe payments, QR-code tickets, automated email and a gift-credit system for purchases and exchanges.
- 03Denormalised collections, multi-layer caching, compound-index search and SignalR location-based chat.
- 04Location filtering, saved gifts, booking exchanges and a vendor analytics dashboard.
- 05Full vendor lifecycle: application workflow, experience management, notifications and revenue tracking.
